1. How can I have centralized MDM setup in Business Central?
Standard Business Central requires MDM synchronized tables to be configured separately in each company, exported to a file, then imported and manually adjusted in the target company – a slow, repetitive process. Acumens IC Automation removes this limitation by allowing you to manage all MDM setups from a single company, instantly updating MDM status, synchronized tables, and enabled companies across the entire tenant.
Business Central does not automatically refresh MDM configurations when fields are added or removed, when new tables are introduced, or when couplings fail – leading to sync errors and inconsistent master data. Acumens IC Automation resolves this by updating fields, recreating couplings, cleaning setups, and re syncing failed records, ensuring ongoing, error free synchronization across all companies.
Standard Business Central's MDM does not synchronize company contacts. This means customer, vendor, employee, and bank contacts must be maintained manually in each company, leading to inconsistencies. The Acumens IC Automation fills this gap by automatically synchronizing all contact changes between the master and subsidiary companies.
